Altec Lansing Products: INMOTION

Altec Lansing INMOTION

Dude these speakers rock. They sound great and make your iPod into a boombox, then they fold up flat. You can hook non-iPods to them too, but it obviously won’t look as cool.

Insert Movie in 30 seconds and re-enacted by Bunnies

Angry Alien Productions, Sase and Topsie

These are pretty funny. I stumbled upon The Exorcist a couple months ago and have been hooked ever since. My favorite bunny re-enactments ranked:
1. The Exorcist
2. Titantic
3. The Shining

Realistic Internet Simulator AKA Kill The Popups by Rob Manuel [for B3ta.com]

So, yeah, this is why I’m glad I don’t use Windows at home. To me this is what it’s like when the intern in my office has a bunch of spyware and doesn’t use popup-blocker.

Music I’m digging on…

Rachael Yamagata
So, Rachael Yamagata played the Midwest Music Summit in 2002. She was so good- the talk of the conference. Well, they’ve reworked some of her songs from the EP and added a bunch of others and now she’s the Free Download of the Week this week on iTunes (Act quick; I think it may end Friday). Anyway, as much as I like the newer reworked version of “Worn Me Down”, I think I like the one from the EP better- even if it does sound like Dawson’s Creek makeout music.

Franz Ferdinand
Obviously, like everybody and their brother I am digging on Franz Ferdinand. I love “Take Me Out”. It’s such a strong single. That part of it where it slows down and starts on a driving disco-Foreigner groove- pure booty bliss!

The Killers
I’m a sucker for dance rock. I’m really excited that people are making music with guitars that you can dance to. “Somebody Told Me” is the best track on the disc, but the rest isn’t bad either.

You can see what else I’m digging on by checking out my iTunes iMix playlist

Easiest Programmable Remote Ever

Harmony Remote
So, I just bought one of these Harmony Remotes on Ebay- the H688. It’s really easy to set-up because you just plug it into your computer’s USB port and tell it what your devices are (I swear it has codes for everything) and then everything is programmed by activity. Plus, it’s super customizable. I did the initial setup and it programmed 95% of all the commands successfully for what I need it to do. It’s pretty rad. I used to have the Sony RM-AV3000, but you can’t update its code database, you just have to fake it and “learn” everything. Plus I wanted more hard buttons. It’s going up on Ebay soon.

So if you visit the link above you can see the personal site that a friend of mine has put together to raise money to run a marathon in Anchorage, Alaska to raise money for cancer research. She has raised $4377 to go to the marathon- more than her goal and the excess goes straight to cancer research. I wish her luck and support and hope that she finishes without injury and I know she will be very fulfilled at the good work she has done when she finishes.

does this work?

So, i guess i can post from my phone. Kind of cool. I guess i could blog battle results if people wanted to know before i got home. But that would be super geeky.

So, I now have a real blog…

Yeah, so now I have a real blog. No more lack-of-news from me.
