We took a gondola ride down the Grand Canal and someof the smaller canals just after dark. It was beautiful.

Ok, back to more about our trip. In St. Mark’s they have these little orchestras that play out in the square by the cafes and we chose to sit and listen to this one, who wowed us with their crowd-pleasing Sound of Music medley.

Well, unfortunately we are passing on a bit of bad news. Rob’s oldest cat, Slinky, has passed away. She was about 12 years old and he rescued her from a vet’s office in Kokomo where she was supposed to be be put down after her first owner died six years ago. She was moody, like [...]

So, in St. Mark’s Square in Venice, they now sell pigeon feed. In my opinion, it’s a terrible idea. People take pictures with the pigeons, and even if you don’t have feed, they’ll land on you! Yuck!
