2006 is shaping up to be a busy year! We have 4 weddings we’re invited
to so far. 3 of which we’ll be able to attend. Plus my friend Jenny
is joking about doing a Vegas wedding on April Fool’s Day- or is she?
I’m not making reservations until I see a ring.
Mike and Diana are getting married in May in Florida and Jimmy and Beth
are getting married in South Bend in July. Plus, our friends Ryan and
Kim are getting married in Vegas in June.
We went to a wedding on New Year’s eve, then up to a party at Ryan and
Kim’s in Noblesville. It was a great way to wind down the new year.
For 2006, I have a few goals I want to accomplish. One is to start blogging more regularly.
I haven’t been good about keeping you guys up to date with what’s going on in my life, and I know that makes you mad since I’m so far away from a lot of you. My sincere apologies.
So, I’ve been good about hitting the gym on a regular basis. Not as often as I like/should, but regular, so I figure that is something. I’ve joined Weight Watchers with my friend Jennifer- SillyGrrl, not to be confused with Ryan’s Jen who has the same first and last names. SillyGrrl has lost 100 pounds on Weight Wacthers in just under 2 years, so hopefully some of her success will rub off on me. I joined just before Halloween and have lost 9.8 pounds so far, which was very hard to do during the holiday season. I’m hoping to lose 25 pounds in the next year. I figure that’s about a half pound a week and I’d be pretty happy with that to be 25 pounds lighter this time next year. But I’ll need to hit the gym at least one more time per week in order to do that.
I’m also hoping to do 12 real estate transactions this year. I’m hoping for more, but just starting out, I’d be happy with that. I just put in my first offer ever for my friends Ryan and Jen. Fingers crossed that it gets accepted! I have 4 other clients in the pipeline, so things are looking good.
I am putting an ad in Atmoic Ranch magazine to try and get some more listings and I would love to specialize in ranch homes. My new house is a mid-century modern ranch designed by Indiana architect Evans Woollen III. He designed Clowes Hall at Butler and the Musical Arts Center at IU.
If I’m settled in the house in time, I may have a party for my 29th birthday in February. We’ll just have to wait and see. We may go out of town that weekend and have a housewarming party later in the spring.
I solemnly resolve to update my blog more often, so please keep checking back! I usually keep my Flickr photos updated, so make sure you look in on those every once in awhile.

Welcome to Kristen Leep's home on the web. Please make yourself at home...
