Too Many Clothes

Well, I have almost cleared out a spot for Rob’s clothes in our closet. That has been quite a project. He will have his own little ghetto in our closet though and that is quite the accomplishment for this week.

I don’t know why, but it seems I have always had way too many clothes. Like even in elementary school, I can remember having a full closet. I had one of those closets that was the sliding doors so you could only access one side at a time. One side was hanging and the other side was all shelves that my mom and brother built to hold laundry baskets. Now, I could be totally wrong. Maybe I didn’t have THAT many clothes in elementary school. Maybe it just seemed like my closet was full because they were always strewn all over the floor. But I’ve pretty much had walk-in closets almost everywhere (well, except a few pplaces in college) and they’ve always been full.

Anyway, I’ve always had too many clothes. I still do. I’ve rid myself of 2 garbage bags full so far this week, and I’m working on a third. I will say this though, I am totally going to turn into one of those “if-I-haven’t-worn-it-in-a-year-then-I’m-pitching-it-people”. It’s amazing the sentimentality that I have with certain clothes. I was good last night though. I got rid of things that totally didn’t fit anymore that I was holding onto for whatever reason still.

Also, I have a running garage sale hamper that if I put something on or wear it and I’m pulling at it because it doesn’t fit right (this tends to happen where shirts shrink up and my belly will start poking out after a few washes)- it goes in the hamper. I really have been liking the tunic trends lately. It’s so nice to wear things that aren’t too short.

I do need Tim Gunn or someone like that to come here and rid my closet of the stuff I don’t need.

Takes Me Back

So, I happened across this video of kids dancing around to Britney Spears’ new single “Gimme More”. Anyway, it reminds me of making up dances and how cool the radio was when I was a kid. My cousins and I would put on radio hits and dance around. I really love the little girl dancing around with the blanket. Anyway, it makes me really nostalgic. And it makes me want to dance around the house with the music blasting.

EDIT: Apparently the parents have made this video private now so you can’t see it. Too bad, cause it was super cute.
