So, Rob and I are married! Yay! I have an awesome husband now instead of just an awesome boyfriend/fiancé. It’s weird, but a good weird. We had to take the kitties to the vet to be boarded today. I cried like a baby! I miss them so much! Who would have ever thought I’d be so geeked about animals?

So, for a little housekeeping-
My photographer should have some pictures up on her blog probably tomorrow, but maybe later. I’m not her only client. LOL. As soon as I see them posted, I’ll link them here. But if you want to stalk her blog to look for them, you can do that. My video and rehearsal night pics probably won’t be up for a couple weeks, but I’ll link to those when they get posted.

Well, we’re off to Tokyo tomorrow. Apparently, there’s a typhoon (Typhoon Man-Yi) headed that way, but it’s supposed to be dying down by the time it hits Tokyo. It’s looking like lots of rain while we’re there, but whatever. I’ll be with my favorite guy (well, the one I got to pick- my dad is still my favorite that I got stuck with). It will be fun no matter what. Plus, we get in on Saturday, and Saturday night is when it’s supposed to be the worst, so we’ll probably be super tired and staying in anyway.

So, expect wedding and shower thank you notes when we get back, and until then, think safe travel thoughts for us!

OK everyone, Embassy Suites still hasn’t given me the direct booking link yet, but you can call and book reservations in the hotel block. Prices are $129/King, $149/2 Doubles. It’s a standard Embassy Suites Room. Just call 317-236-1800 and tell them you want to reserve a room in the Guernsey-Leep Wedding Block. I’m assuming you can call 1-800-EMBASSY as well for a toll-free call. I believe the rate also includes breakfast, because I think all Embassy Suites rooms include breakfast now.

Everyone is asking me where we are registered, so I’ll tell ya!

We are registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and at Macy’s.  We are NOT registered for china, instead we opted to register for extra colors of FiestaWare at Macy’s.  Our cookware is at Macy’s, as are some linens and whatnot.  We have kitchen electrics, glasses, linens (can you really have enough white towels?) and silverware at Bed Bath and Beyond.

Rob and I met on January 24, 2004 at The Patio (R.I.P.) in Indianapolis. It was the 21+ CD Release Show for a band I was managing at the time called The Malcontents. They were a ska band from Lafayette and a great group of people! Oh, how idealistic I was even just 3 years ago! Anyway, we briefly were introduced by Matt Chandler formerly of the radio show The Free Zone on 88.7 WICR. He introduced me to his co-host Rob and we all chatted for a minute. Then I told them about the afterparty I was having at my house after the show. That night, as we sat around the dining room table, Rob sat across from me and I thought he was so cute and he had an awesome personality. When he and Matt were leaving, I told Matt to pass along my email to Rob (although earlier I tested his sobriety by making him write his phone number on a Miller High Life box). Apparently, they were talking about it on the way home and they were giving Greg Brenner a lift home, and greg told Rob he should totally email me. (Thanks for the good word, Greg!) Rob emailed me on Monday and we exchanged some emails figuring each other out and arranging our first date for Wednesday, January 28, 2004. He came over and played me some records and we sat up all night talking. The rest is history.
